One of those experiments is Microsoft Chat, a graphical IRC client that makes your chats look like comic strips. Character editor AVS file creation script (avs.sh)

• I wrote this bash script so I could design characters without using the character editor. You still need the editor to actually export characters to the AVB format Comic Chat understands, but the script makes the task a lot more comfortable. Run ./avs.sh -m to learn more.

BMP image to BGB background converter (bmpbgb)
