I notice in an earlier post here you mentioned being disinterested in anime these days. I find myself in a similar situation. I never had any interest in the usual trendy shows seen on Netflix, and by now I've plunged the depths of anime and manga. I find nothing that interests me anymore. (Although occasionally I'll read one of those manga where the premise is that the girl has really big tits, or something.)
Lately I've been watching a lot of old sitcoms and serial dramas. Like Married With Children. Or Dawson's Creek. People think I'm strange. ~~Anonymous 2023-04-22(Sat)14:20:10 No.137
I stopped watching seasonal anime around 2019 for a few reasons and maybe a few others: my life got busier, the quality of the average show started sucking in a way it was impossible to keep ignoring, I was growing uninterested in the passive consumption of media, i.e. just sitting down dumbfounded to watch anime (same reason I'm not a big fan of movies; with books at least you get to turn the page) and a growing dissatisfaction with the average anime fan (not sure why it feels like ten years ago it was much more fun to discuss shows, maybe it's because, like you, I rarely watched the trendy stuff). Besides, although I love animation as a medium, it's obvious to me that manga is much more beautiful and intricate in its artistry than anime, so I vastly prefer it now. I think that I'm completely done with anime now.
It's funny you mention sitcoms and dramas. I don't think it's strange; I guess you just needed something —after plunging "the depths of anime and manga"— that was completely different from all of that. It happened to me too, although perhaps not to such an extreme: after quitting anime altogether, I was interested in western cartoons for a while, mostly stuff I thought was stylish as a kid. In the end I only ended up watching two shows: My Life as a Teenage Robot and Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi. They were fun, but I don't really feel like trying any others. ~~cidoku ## Admin 2023-04-22(Sat)15:34:33 No.138

You no longer like anime you used to like? ~~Anonymous 2023-05-22(Mon)05:49:54 No.159

Glad to hear :toot:
Which season of Galaxy Angel is your favorite? ~~Anonymous 2023-05-22(Mon)19:32:42 No.161
bd_3_aa_39-40_1424x1072_hevc_10bit_flac_softsub_ch (344.47KB, 1424x1072) I love them all, but if I had to pick one, maybe the first? I don't know. Every season has its moments! And the final season (X) ended way too soon. Galaxy Angel is by far one of my favourite shows ever, and I wish for everyone to watch it NOW ~~cidoku ## Admin 2023-05-22(Mon)21:20:42 No.162

Thanks! I often rewatch season 3 and 4 but I should rewatch the first more often :flower:
